Call for Participation (CFP)

Workshop title: Healthcare Beyond Reaction: Harnessing AI and sensing for proactive care — Beyond Reaction.

We invite poster submissions that explore the design, evaluation, ethics, and deployment of AI and sensing technologies for proactive health and wellbeing. Submissions should focus on topics such as:

• bridging physical and mental health insights
• personalization and bias mitigation
• sustaining engagement while protecting privacy
• explainability
• evaluation methods for lived contexts
• socio-technical governance and equitable deployment

Submission format

• Poster/position/work-in-progress/provocative papers submitted as PDF, ≤ 4 pages, single-column ACM submission template (references excluded).
• At least one author must attend in person to present the poster.

Review criteria

Submissions will be reviewed for:

• Relevance to workshop topics and potential to stimulate interdisciplinary discussion.
• Clarity and promise of contribution (novelty, insight, or provocative framing).
• Fit with practical, deployable, or ethically-grounded pathways to proactive care.

Publication

Accepted submissions will be published on the workshop website and archived on Zenodo for open access.
